Approximately 300,000 residents in Canada will be diagnosed with a life threatening illness in 2016

Imagine if this was someone you love

70% will be pet owners

Imagine if the unconditional love of their furry caregiver was surrendered when they needed them most

Wouldn’t you want to help prevent this unnecessary separation?

Ask us about starting a Bello Project in your community!

The Bello Project-Waterloo Region, Ontario

The Countdown is on

Home Hospice Association is proud and excited to start building a village on pet lovers in the Waterloo Region.  November 2016, we will begin the means necessary to apply training, and build the infrastructure to deliver this much needed service to the wonderful communities of Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo. It should not be too long before we will be providing care and compassion for the pet of terminally ill pet owners in this area.

Wanted:  Office Space

We have quickly outgrown our current work space! Needed – one 10 x 10 office with access to a board room. If you able to help us out or would like to know more about supporting this program in the Waterloo Region, please email Tracey at or click here

Join our Waterloo Region-Bello Team

Just as it takes a village to raise a child, we need to grow our village in order to make this project a success. The Bello Project welcomes your interest in working on our fundraising planning committee, on-site at one of our up and coming events or to build the tool kits that future communities will use for their own Bello Project program.  If you would like to be part of Bello’s  Team in the Waterloo Region, email Tracey at or click here

Fundraising is the cornerstone of this test; in order to ensure money never stands in the way of a pet and pet owner staying together until death has occurred.  The care and compassion the Bello Project provides comes at no cost to a family.  This is only possible when businesses and individuals come together with the common goal to ensure support is available in their community and in any community that needs them!  In addition to raising dollars, we are looking for in-kind donations to offset the costs of administering the beginning stages of The Bello Project.  If you have available office space that you would be willing to donate or would like to know more about supporting this program in the Waterloo Region, please email Tracey at or click here
