Business Managment Internship Program

About the Business Management Internship Program

In September of 2016, we began working with students from Community Colleges, Career Colleges and Universities with a commitment to building a leading edge virtual/remote internship program that provided significant work experience.

Whether you're a Canadian citizen, an international student, someone who has been out of the workforce for a period of time, or anyone wanting to gain valuable experience and improve their skills, Home Hospice Association’s Business Management Internship Program delivers training opportunities and on-the-ground experience for those interested in pursuing a career in business management and leadership.

Practical and Real-life Experience

We make it possible for our interns to get a range of experience and learning opportunities in different departments based on their interests. Our Internship Program has been designed to bring the theory in the following areas of study to life:

  • Digital Marketing

  • Human Resources

  • Project Management

  • Business Development

Go Remote with Your Internship Experience

The way we work has changed in the last few years. More agencies are working remotely or in a hybrid environment. HHA’s national team has been preparing future leaders to work from a remote office since 2017.

When considering this internship, it's important to think about whether or not working in a remote environment (home office) works for you!

Is this Internship for You?

We’re looking for individuals who demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic. This internship is well-suited to people who are self-reflective, open and receptive to feedback and continuing professional development, sensitive to the needs of others, and can talk to people in a non-judgmental way. If you’re up for the challenge, we can offer you a rewarding, supportive and vibrant learning environment!

HHA is committed to diversifying our team and to increasing the leadership capacities of people from groups who often encounter systemic barriers to leadership positions. If there are ways in which you identify that you would like us to take into consideration, please let us know on your application.

Teamwork

What Our Interns Have to Say

""I just got a job and am super happy that they still considered me even though they wanted someone with 3+ years of experience while I only had 4 months with HHA. It all happened because I was able to share the experience and skills that I have learned here at HHA. My new employers were impressed and said I have the right attitude and skills to work with them."

“I have had a great opportunity to work at HHA in the HR Department on a number of projects and tasks and experienced the best working environment that is unlocking my potential and shaping my personality as a professional to come.”

MANPREET

"I was able to gain knowledge and experience in my profession while working as an intern at HHA in a very kind and inviting environment. I'm really appreciative of my CEO, Co-op coordinator and team for helping me along the way. They have been incredibly encouraging and supportive of me during my Co-op experience."
