The Diana Pathway workshop carries the legacy of the first client the Home Hospice Association supported when seeking Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).
Diana was passionate about individuals empowerment to make decisions that reflected their values and preferences for individual healthcare when faced with a terminal illness.
Are You a Death Doula Who Aspires to Support Those Seeking a Medically Assisted Death?
This workshop builds on the knowledge and skills learned in your Death Doula training. It provides insight into the challenges of working with a client who chooses MAiD over a natural death. You will learn how to deliver special support around legacy, death planning, vigiling and grief that Death Doulas are uniquely qualified to provide. Specific care before, during and after the provision will be taught.
The Home Hospice Association is proud to provide non-judgmental and knowledgeable support to those interested in this line of work. The team responsible for creating The Diana Pathway Workshop brings their personal and professional knowledge and experiences with medically assisted deaths. They collectively and lovingly melded together a common calling and common passion to launch this training program.

$250 for Death Doulas who have trained with HHA, and $300 for Death Doulas who have trained elsewhere

NOTE: Due to the ongoing provincial restrictions surrounding COVID-19, this course is being offered virtually until it is safe for us to be together in the community. We look forward to the day when we can once again offer our training in person, but until then, we are pleased to be able to deliver our meaningful program of shared experience, wisdom, and energy in an alternative format.
Training tuition is $250 for Death Doulas who have trained with HHA, and $300 for Death Doulas who have trained elsewhere. Proof of training will be requested once registration form is received. Full payment must be paid in full no later than 60 days prior to the start of the training workshop.
A $100 deposit is due with this registration form to secure your spot. No seat will be held without a deposit.
