This program will equip you with the necessary skills, insights and perspectives to draw the circle of compassionate care wider, while providing you with a network of support from your peers as well as guidance from highly qualified and experienced professionals.

MAiD and the Death Doula

This 2-day training workshop for Death Doulas builds on their existing knowledge and skills, and is specifically designed to provide insight into the challenges of working with a client who chooses MAiD over a natural death.

Designed for all caregivers, this free online training is built on a foundation of mindfulness and compassion so that, together, we can provide quality end-of-life care to friends, family, neighbours, co-workers and those with no family or support system at all.

Through our Infant & Pregnancy Loss Support Certificate Program, HHA equips communities all over Canada with trained professionals able to assist people during one of the most painful times of their lives.

Talking with Kids about Dying, Death & Grief

This program is designed to equip care professionals, youth workers and community leaders with the specialized knowledge and skills needed to confidently open lines of communication about death and grief with young people and keep these conversations going.

Death Doula Progressive Learning

This program is designed to provide continuing education and support for death doulas looking to supplement the theoretical knowledge they gained from trainings previously completed through different organizations or institutions.

Community Workshops & Presentations

We’re happy to arrange presentations and workshops for organizations interested in improving access to quality compassionate end-of-life care, and offer a variety of topics from our death education programming.
