Funds and Awareness Committee
There are not two more important goals for the long term success of HHA and our ability to ensure our contribution to hospice in Canada:
To meet the significant needs of our mission, vision and mandate
Link to Home strong committees in the areas of funds and awareness are the key
- The Fundraising Committee focuses on providing leadership and successful facilitation of all aspects of HHA’s Fundraising Plan. Members of this Committee will be volunteers who are able to take on a specific role that has a place or need in each aspect of the plan as well as is a common need for special events and third party events. HHA’s Sponsorship Program is an excellent example of a project the fundraising committee would focus on.
Moonlit Memory Walk: Those who find it exciting to plan a great family outdoor event and wish to focus on paying tribute to our friends, family members, coworkers and pets who have died are the ideal committee members for the organization of Moonlit Memory Walk
- Those who have a creative energy, who are on top of current marketing and social media trends, who are great communicators or who are extremely well organized and project oriented will be outstanding members of the Marketing Committee. This group, meeting every five weeks on a Tuesday evening, focus specifically on making Home Hospice Association a “household name” while ensuring that each community has the power to raise awareness to the work they do.
World Hospice Day: This is one project that marketing enthusiasts may wish to focus on specifically. Sharing the world stage with other communities in other countries will require an annual planning process that begins with determining each year what our awareness effort will be.
