Throughout history, human beings have chosen to acknowledge the passing of a member of the family, or community, with a ceremony. As pets are also considered family, it is logical to also choose to hold a ceremonial pet remembrance service.

For many of us this will be the first time we have a chance to celebrate the life of a pet we have loved so much! While Celebration of Life events exist for our human loved ones, this will be a most unique experience!

Participating in a pet funeral or memorial service can bring great satisfaction to those who mourn the loss of a cherished companion animal. Such a service allows family and friends the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings about the lost pet, and enables everyone to reflect on and acknowledge the important role that the animal played in their lives.

This evening will include an informal gathering for refreshments, a service to honour each pet through the reading of their name followed by a balloon release.
