“You have two hands.  One to help yourself, the second to help others.”  - Unknown

Susan came to join HHA after a chance meeting with Glen Burkholder one night, listening to him speak with passion about what he and Tracey were creating and their vision for HHA.  When she learned that Tracey was looking to create a Still Birth support program, she told Glen she was a Doula, explained what they did and said she would love to speak further with Tracey about her vision for the Still Birth Doula portion of the organization.  The rest as they say is history.  Susan has been married to her soul mate Joe for 26 years and is the proud mother of two fantastic young adults, Nick and Hailey who are both currently pursuing their passions in the arts. In her spare time she cycles long distance and participates in community theatre back stage wearing many different hats.  Susan is currently working in Community Mental Health at Joseph Brant Hospital as a Program Assistant.  She is a HALO Certified Labour Doula and has supported many women and their partners on their journey to parenthood.
