What is your background? -- I am a nurse, Death Doula, and an Infant and Pregnancy Loss Doula. I have worked in Palliative care for many years and noticed the need to be able to talk about death without the words being so taboo. My love for home hospice is that I feel everyone deserves to die the way they want and where they want.
What are the values that drive you? -- Trust and honesty.
Who is someone you admire, and why? – Michelle & Wayne French – Michelle and her husband are the most amazing people I have ever met. They are completely selfless people, they are non-judgmental, and the most outstanding couple who have ever come into my life. I am so blessed to have them in my life.
Your top three favorite books, music artists or movies. – Favorite book – any book from Joanna Lindsay, Favorite music artist – Luke Combs, Favorite movie – Dirty Dancing.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? – I am an excellent listener which helps me put people at ease.
Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…sitting in my office doing homework that I took a break from Friday and Saturday.
How do you want people to remember you? – She always tried, and her heart was more exposed then anyone every truly realized.
Where do you yourself in the next 10 years? – Helping people have the death they want, where they want, and how they want. Having the ability to talk about death and dying without people grimacing because they don’t want to hear those words.
What would be your personal motto? – Never give up! You can always have your dreams come true, just never give up!
