Dear Friends,
I recently finished reading The Life List by Lori Nelson Spielman and couldn’t wait to share it with you.
This novel follows Brett Bohlinger, a young woman who, after her mother’s passing, learns she must fulfill a list of childhood dreams to inherit her mother’s fortune. The list includes goals like “Go to Paris” and “Perform live on a super big stage.” As Brett embarks on this journey, she confronts personal challenges and discovers what truly matters in life.

The beauty of this story lies in its exploration of living and dying well. Brett’s quest encourages readers to reflect on their own aspirations and the importance of pursuing them, no matter where they are in life. It serves as a poignant reminder that it’s never too late to reconnect with one’s passions and embrace change. I personally identified with the mother, who was still helping her young adult daughter live a full life. She feared for her daughter and this was a beautiful way to still guide and support her.I know you will also like her character, being a mom yourself to two young adult boys!
I believe you’ll find Brett’s journey both inspiring and heartwarming. It’s a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of embracing one’s true self, as well as a reminder that living well is a choice we all should make in order to die well, without regrets.
Enjoy,
Edith
