Fireside Reflections: A Look Back at HHA’s Eastern Ontario Chapter HHAngout

At HHA, community and connection are at the heart of what we do. Last spring, our Eastern Ontario Chapter came together in Ottawa for an inspiring In-Person Hangout, reinforcing the power of shared stories and experiences in end-of-life care.

During this gathering, we exchanged knowledge, strengthened friendships, and shared a lot of laughs in the process (see our Bloopers video below!).

Highlights included a fireside video-chat (watch below) with Chapter Leadership members Pam and Mar (yes, there was a fire—sort of!), where they touched on key topics like:

• The value of face-to-face meetups (0:40)

• Insights from Mar's Advanced Care Planning workshop (4:40)

• Exciting partnerships like HHA’s collaboration with McEvoy Shields (14:50)

• Opportunities for Death Doulas in the HHA Community (17:05)

• The Moonlit Memory Walk and how to get involved (20:34)

It was a time to learn, laugh, and lean on each other as a community of dedicated professionals working to ensure no one dies alone.
