TORONTO, ON: Home Hospice Association (HHA) announced today that this national charitable organization is participating, for the first time, in Giving Tuesday. "Social Media is our best communicator" stated Joy Wirta, Chapter Champion for Home Hospice North and member of the HHA Fundraising Team. "Video is our best vehicle" she continued.
A challenge was issued, nine members stepped up! Across our many Facebook Pages visitors may learn about why the work Home Hospice Chapters do, is so very important.
The question on everyone's mind, however, is where does the money go? Does it really help anyone? Home Hospice Association raises money to fund care directly in the homes of those who have made it their choice to die at home. Instead of raising money for bricks and mortar, HHA believes that money is better utilized by paying for additional care; the one thing most of us cannot afford to pay for on our own and the one thing not readily available through community care.
So today, HHA asks each of to give some thought to what $25.00 means to you and what $25.00 can mean to those dying in our community.
