A Family Conversation About MAiD

In collaboration with the Family Council at Chippawa Creek at Bella Care Residence, this session offers families a warm and supportive place to explore questions and feelings around Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). Together, we’ll look at what MAiD truly means; its history in Canada, how the process works, and how it may touch the lives of those we love.

This workshop is designed to bring understanding where uncertainty often lives. We’ll gently address myths like “I’m required to attend a MAiD death,” and answer practical questions such as “Would life insurance be affected if someone chooses MAiD?”

Most of all, this session invites families to talk openly, listen deeply, and find comfort in shared learning — creating space for compassion, clarity, and connection at every stage of the journey.
