About
Feelings about death are as diverse as people are. And while we recognize that what someone thinks or feels about dying, death, grief or loss isn’t necessarily determined by their gender identity or sexual orientation, we also know how important it is to be able to talk about these issues and feelings in a space that feels safe and with people who share similar life experiences.
In recognition of World AIDS Day, we are also honoured to welcome guest speaker Charles Parchem. Charles brings extensive lived and professional experience within the 2SLGBTQI+ community and has been a dedicated advocate for equality, equity, and inclusion. His work has included supporting individuals and communities impacted by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, as well as those affected by the ongoing overdose crisis. Charles will share his insights, experiences, and reflections on the importance of community, resilience, and advocacy in creating more inclusive and compassionate spaces.
