About
This facilitated discussion invites death workers to explore real-life end-of-life scenarios through a decolonizing lens. Together, we’ll reflect on how history, culture, healthcare systems, and social power shape our ideas about dying, grief, and “good care.”
Rather than seeking right or wrong answers, this space centers thoughtful questioning: whose values are being prioritized, who holds authority, and how dominant norms influence our responses as death workers. The focus is on awareness, humility, and ethical presence—supporting culturally responsive accompaniment that honours the lived realities of dying people and their families.
These conversations are designed to deepen reflection, strengthen preparedness, and support death workers in practicing with greater care, accountability, and respect within complex end-of-life systems.
