"YOUR MONDAY MORNING THOUGHTS SET THE TONE FOR YOUR WHOLE WEEK. SEE YOURSELF GETTING STRONGER,

Here is The Monday Motivation (TMM) for you! Have a super wonderful week ahead.

Hello! My name is Tracey Robertson, and I have been with Home Hospice Association even before it existed because I am one of its three co-founders. When I think about an experience I will never forget, I think about attending a workshop at Smith Funeral Home for Funeral Directors with Glen Burkholder and Susan Balaz.

These two passionate members of our team are on a mission to educate funeral professionals about how to do a better job serving families experiencing the loss of an infant or during pregnancy. As I looked around the room at how captivated their audience was, it dawned on me that we were sitting in the exact same room where our Pre and Perinatal Hospice Program and the subsequent Infant and Pregnancy Loss training was “conceived”. We had come full circle on October 16, which is aptly International Infant & Pregnancy Loss Awareness Day.

Home Hospice Association makes me a better person every day because it “forces me to get out of my own way”. It is so easy to focus on what is not working; on what you are unhappy about. But when you think about the fact, that, even as you took the time to read this story, people are sitting in a doctor’s office hearing those words we never want to hear, it makes it pretty easy to stop thinking your problems are so very big. Dying is an enormous act and dying alone is absolutely unacceptable. Remembering that, and waking up every morning ready to do something about it, how can that not make you a better person?
