It Takes A Village to Improve the Lives of our Dying...

Become a Death Doula or Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doula

Our Infant and Pregnancy Loss Doula training program was the first of its kind in Canada and is the foundation of our Pre and Perinatal Hospice Program. 1 in 4 women living in Canada experience a pregnancy or infant loss and many suffer in silence. This program teaches how to provide education, support and guidance before, during and after the loss. You will learn about anticipatory grief, what will be different from a live birth and how to prepare, how to support through miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and infant death, how to support the other parent and children and options for funeral, burial and memorialization.

Our Death Doula training program invites you to get in touch with your own thoughts, feelings and fears about dying and death, while teaching you how to be present to the dying and their loved ones. You will gather practical knowledge about terminal illness, learn that grief begins and diagnosis, what active dying looks, the art and skill of compassionate communication, meaning making through legacy work, vigil planning and how to care for yourself while you care for others.
