Rolling Up Our Sleeves, Identifying Gaps, Filling Gaps

The HHA Way
Home Hospice Association’s charitable missions were established to provide resources to qualified donees (Canadian Registered Charities; Municipalities) that feel they are not fully meeting the needs of their dying.
“Wherever someone may lay their head we help make a hospice bed with compassionate care, founded in culturally sensitive human connection.”
As an extension of someone’s “family”, caregivers are guests in their client’s home and are committed to treating all people with respect and acceptance.

Building Leadership with Community Chapters
HHA serves the dying community by fostering relationships with existing agencies looking to increase their care of the dying. HHA partners with agencies in a “community” (geographic, social, cultural or spiritual). These partners may currently offer hospice palliative care or because their clients are aging, may wish to expand their programs to extend length of care. Leadership Members of our National Infrastructure bring their knowledge, connections and passion to "get the job done".

The greatest service gap is a lack of beds in long term care facilities, hospitals and residential hospices for the last days and weeks of life. HHA’s Hospice at Home program provides end of life care without needing to build more buildings.
Programs are delivered at no cost to clients, and we take an active role in the acquisition and delivery of needed resources (human and financial).
