Talking with Kids about Dying, Death & Grief

Discussing death with children and young people can be challenging and many tend to avoid the conversations altogether. But death, just like birth, is a natural part of our lives.

As part of our C.A.N.D.Y. Café, we’re proud to offer various opportunities for adults to learn how to effectively talk with the young people in their lives about dying, death & grief, as well as for young people to more comfortably access their words, thoughts and feelings about these topics and experiences.

As parents, guardians, and caregivers, it's our responsibility to ensure young people know it’s okay to talk about dying and death, and to learn healthy ways of coping with grief.  This 2-hour workshop is designed to help adults navigate conversations about dying, death, and grief with the young people in their lives.

Designed for professionals working with young people, this certificate program provides you with the tools and techniques you'll need to feel confident navigating conversations about dying, death and grief with youth in your care.
